Common questions

Can I track income from multiple platforms in Money OS?

Yes. Add each platform as an income category (YouTube, Substack, Gumroad, Patreon, Direct Sponsorship). Every payment is logged and the Income Summary report shows totals per source.

What creator expenses are tax-deductible?

Home studio costs, camera and equipment, editing software, stock footage and music licenses, course purchases for skill development, paid ads for your content, and a portion of internet and phone costs. Money OS categorizes all of these.

How do I handle brand deal payments?

Log each brand deal as income tagged to the brand name. If you have associated expenses (travel, production, contractors), tag those to the same brand. The client report shows the full profitability of each deal.

I receive payments in multiple currencies. How does Money OS handle that?

Import transactions from each currency account separately. Log the received amount in local currency. Multi-currency native support is on the roadmap.

Do I need a business entity to use Money OS?

No. Many creators start as sole proprietors. Money OS works for individual creators and formal LLCs equally. The financial records you build in Money OS support your entity formation when you are ready.
